prema sjeveru - towards the north - festival 2003 was a celebration of the Croatian language and heritage, contemporary culture and the community in Victoria, Australia.

This festival was organised voluntarily by Croats living in the northern regions of Melbourne, with the assistance of others from around Melbourne and Victoria. The festival took place at the four Darebin Libraries sites: Fairfield, Northcote, Preston and Reservoir.

As part of the prema sjeveru festival 2003, we showcased the works of three young and emerging Croatian visual artists: Lada Dedic, at the Ramp Art space in the Northcote Library; Jakov James Milic, in the windows of the Fairfield Library; and Zvonka Lovric, at the Ramp Art space at the Northcote Library.

Congratulations to Lada, Jakov and Zvonka for their impressive exhibitions; and thanks to Darebin Libraries for this opportunity!

During the month, three
