YarraNet Website: yarranet.net.au
YarraNet is a community based ISP providing training, hosting, web design and project management.
YarraNet began in 1996 as an initiative of the Open Learning Technology Corporation Ltd, the Yarra-Melbourne Regional Library and the Central Metropolitan Regional Council of Adult, Community and Further Education.
At the beginning of 2001 YarraNet seperated from the Yarra-Melbourne Library Corporation and became YarraNet Inc. an incorporated not-for-profit organisation. We continued to have a strong relationship with the library providing many of their internet services.
Late in 2001 Michael Gwyther stepped into the YarraNet Coordinator position.
In 2002 YarraNet qualified for ACFE provider status which allowed us to become the lead agent for many of the community projects we are involved in.
