ARPA OVER 50s ASSOCIATION LTD is an independent national organisation built on the strengths of two seniors groups, Australian Retired Persons Association (ARPA) (in most states), established in the 1970s, and Over Fifties Focus which began in 1995. Our objectives are to assist people to plan for and achieve a fullfilling retirement, to enhance the quality of life of older persons and to promote their dignity, rights and status.
Over 50's Association (Melbourne) will receive $30,000 to establish 20 online groups as part of a statewide project aimed to support and encourage older people who are out of the workforce. It will also provide those who are disadvantaged by rapid changes and improved technology, to remain informed and actively involved.
