The City of Hobsons Bay is situated on Port Phillip Bay, around 10 kiolmetres west of central Melbourne. It covers around 66 square kilometres and includes the suburbs of Altona, Altona North, Altona Meadows, Brooklyn (part), Laverton, Seabrook, Newport, Seaholme, South Kingsville, Spotswood and Williamstown. It is a municipality of diverse cultures and rich history.
The My Connected Community project at Hobsons Bay is about supporting communities to get online.
With the project individuals and groups can get free training in how to establish an online community.
