Alex Ramsay
Alex Ramsay 22/7/1892 - 2/5/1957. WW1: enlisted 24th Battalion 30/3/1915 in Melbourne - served at Gallipoli and on the Western Front. Rank of Sereant on discharge - 9/9/1919.
WW2: Enlisted again in the army 27/3/1942 at Buchan. Rank of WO2 with VDC on discharge - 19/9/1945.

This is an image of the minature Book of Psalms carried by Alex whilst on active service. The momento is treasured by his daughter Jess. Coates.

| Alex married Emily Tuck at Buchan on 20/9/1920.Along with his brother-in-law Vernon Tuck, operated the Buchan General Store. Later he set up the Ramsay Transport Business and later still with Emily built and operated the Post Office where he was Postmaster until his death. |
