VIEW CLUB INTERACTION WITH THE SMITH FAMILY

The Smith Family established VIEW in 1960 for the purpose of promoting the Voice, Interest and Education of Women. Today, VIEW is a valued part of The Smith Family and has continued as an organisation with a twofold purpose: to provide a support network for women to meet in friendship and to support the work of The Smith Family.

What sets VIEW apart from other women’s organisation is that members work together for a common purpose VIEW provides avenues for members to be involved in initiatives that contribute to the mission of The Smith Family; "Together with caring Australians, The Smith Family will unlock opportunities for disadvantaged families to participate more fully in society". For members of VIEW, it is important that they are able to ‘give back’ to the community by actively working with The Smith Family.

HOW DOES VIEW SUPPORT TSF ?

VIEW has contributed over $1 million cash each year to The Smith Family for the past 18 years, and an equally impressive amount of donated goods in kind – both of which are vital to continue providing support to disadvantaged Australian children and their families in the places where it is needed most. Members are engaged with The Smith Family in many ways.

HOW DO CLUBS IN ZONE AA03 SUPPORT TSF ?

Our Clubs donate generously to the Winter and Christmas Appeals, and rise to the challenge of donating – school stationery supplies, library bags, knitted blankets-beanies-jumpers-baby layettes, books and toys. Currently 7 LFL students are sponsored by our clubs which is fantastic.

When it comes to volunteering – the wonderful women in Zone AA03 are always at the forefront! To join our journey with The Smith Family please visit the links below.
