1st Woodend Scout Group is an active youth scouting group in Woodend, Victoria. The Youth sections we currently support are Cubs (7-11) and Scouts (11-14). We are also linked into a district Venturers Unit (14-17) and Rover Crew (18-26). Our dedicated leaders volunteer their time to run these groups, and are supported by a Group Leader, a Group Committee, and Families.

We support our leaders and youth members to be involved in local, regional, state, national and international scouting events. One of our regular community service activities is the provision of breakfast to veterans and the community attending the Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Mt. Macedon Memorial Cross each year.

The aim of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development of young people so they may play a constructive role in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities. This aim is achieved through a strong and active program that inspires young people to do their best and to always be prepared.
