Nunawading Hungarian Senior Citizens Club
The Club, by the nickname of "recycled Teenagers" formed in 1989 by inspiration of the than Nunawading Council and Mrs. Elizabeth Kulcsár. Since then operating sucessfully and well established operation to serve the eastern region elderly hungarian community.
In the past 18 years many dedicated persons helped to establish this good image.
Among them were Elizabeth Bolz Who knowing has terminal illness, despite that worked hard to establish the than still young Club.
Helen Koren By many known as Babi, She laid down the charasteristics of this Club. Very little genetic change carried out since than.
Louis Bartha recognised that among the club members there are many good personalities, who willing, and able to educate and entertain their fellow Club members. Today, still follow His line.
Maria Gaal, led the Club for almost 10 years.
Margaret Kocsis, led our club into the modern age, laid down the bases of the new ways of relationship between the club, and earned a reputable name among authorities, and the senior clubs.
Erica Szanto is at the present time working hard to serve our community, and the same time leading the battle for and among the new leadership, to reinforce, and make betterments on the past experiences.
Finally, We should not forget our management members the executives and our Community members in the past, and in the present, are sacrafising their time and personal freedom to carrying the heavy loads of work. They are deserve the highest of recognitions.
Among them many are Vintage ages, but still working for our wonderful club.
Today, the aim of the Club is to provide confort, knowledge and entretainment to all Hungarians.
1989 Juniusában az akkori Nunawading City Council egyik tisztviselője es Kulcsár Erzsébet, (Aki még ma is dolgos tagja klubunknak) beszélgetve felvetődött a kérdés: mi lenne ha 1989-ben, a Melbourne közép keleti részén is lenne egy idős Magyar klub? A beszélgetést tett követte, és 1989. Augusztus 17-én megalakult a Nunawading Hungarian Senior Cizizens Club.
Az első elnökség elvállalója, Bolz Erzsébet röviddel a megalakulás után megbetegedett, és még abban az évben, visszaadta nemes lelkét a teremtőnek. De, amig betegsége hagyta, a klub vezetője maradt.
A klub jellemvonását Koren Babitól örökölte. 8 éves munkássága eredményeként. A Klub az elsők között volt az utazások szervezésében. Az Ő Szervezéseáltal indultunk el megismerni Australiát..
A Ducza házaspár titikári és könyvelési eredményeként Klubunk nagyon erős alapokon áll ma is.
Bartha Lajos vezetése alatt uj szórakozási és tanulási irányzat alakult ki a tagság körében. Lajos felkutatta, és megszólaltatta mint előadókat a tagság majdnem minden tagját. ---
Gaal Marika, Fodor Katica Lengyel Nandor és Nagy józsef mindannyian hosszú ideig szervezték és fejlesztették klubunkat.
Kocsis Margit Elnöksége alatt átszervezte klubunkat a XXI- ik század kivánalmainak megfelelően.
Ma, klubunk”fiataljai, és ereje”. Szántó Erika, Simma Edith, és Finta Jutka hősiesen küzdenek a klub érdekében, hogy klubunk fennmaradjon és megállja a helyét a mai kivánalmak ellenében.
Ők viszik be Klubunkat- fennállása 20-éves évfordulójába.
