Victorian Metal Detector & Prospectors Association (Inc). (A2958Y)

The club was founded in 1979 by a group of gold prospectors who wanted to share a common hobby.
Over the years the group has increased steadily in numbers, becoming a Social Club.
The Club's committee and members have been holding indoor meetings at our clubroom in Doveton, as well as monthly field trips to the Golden Triangle for all our members.

The club also post out a bi-monthly Newsletter with news, views, reports and field trip maps.

New Members are Always Welcome.

You do not need to know how to use a detector or prospect for Gold as there will always be some one to show you and explain how to set up your machine and give you an idea where to look for those Gold Nuggets.

At the Doveton Club house meetings we hold committee meetings, Raffles, Invite Speakers, Watch Educational Video's, Nice Tea break, and have a Friendly chat among members.

At the field trips we go Beach Detecting, Bush camping, Enjoy a Campfire, Entertainment, Metal Detecting or Panning, Raffles, Dutch Auction, Long week ends, Christmas camp, etc.

Also there are club Trophy's to be won.

We support MINERS DEN and COILTEK and they in return help our members with up to 10% discount on detecting equipment.

Fees are paid on the 1st July and are current for 12 months. $25 for a single membership and $35 for a family membership. (Including children under 16.)
