The Maternal and Child Health Coordinators Group consists of Coordinators or Team Leaders representing the Maternal and Child Health Service for each municipality across the State.

Statement of purpose:
Aim
• to advocate for the Victorian Maternal and Child Health Service as an identified leadership group.
Objectives
• to enhance the leadership through a forum for ongoing support, information sharing and professional development of the membership.
• to advocate for health services for children and families to optimise health outcomes
• to provide representation for the Victorian Maternal and Child Health Service in ongoing planning, policy development and provision of service through working collaboratively with Local Government, the Municipal Association of Victoria, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, representative bodies and the Special Interest Group of the Australian Nursing Federation(Vic Branch).
• to enhance the quality, innovation and technological advances within service delivery
• to identify, develop and utilize mechanisms to raise the profile of the Maternal and Child Health service.
