Connecting with Colleagues online using new technologies
Vivian Evans presenting a session on how you can connect with professional colleagues via the WWW using various synchronous and asynchronous onbline tools. Vivian shared what the ACE ELLN Online Community of Practice is participating in at statewide and at a national level. She focused some of her session on Virtual Conference rooms such as DiscoverE and Elluminate and the Asynchronous platform Communityzero(see some links below for more information)
Digital Story telling with Dorothy Watherhouse
Dorothy Waterhouse(AMES)ran a great session on Digital Story telling showing how to create Digital stories using Photostory3 with ESL students. Dot facilitated this session with a hands on approach where participants made a collaborative Digital story on possible topics and methods you could use with students.
