VIEW - VOICE, INTEREST, EDUCATION FOR WOMEN Our friendly, fun loving group meets for dinner on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Arkaba Hotel, Glen Osmond Road, Fullarton at 6.30pm and the cost is $23 for a two course meal and coffee or tea. For those coming directly from work, you are welcome to join those members having a pre-meeting drink and chat. Our dinner meetings are entertaining and may include guest speakers, quiz and fun nights,or sometimes just a casual relaxing evening. The Club supports the Learning for Life programme through The Smith Family in various ways, such as purchasing books, toys and stationery for the students involved. These are casual, often on a Sunday morning and usually start at approx.9.30am at various cafes around town. These are a lot of fun and a time for catching up with each other on an informal basis. A Mah Jong group meets on fortnightly Mondays at 1.30-4.30pm in each others'homes. Six ladies meet at the moment and they would love some new members. Even if you know nothing about the game, you are most welcome at any time and you can learn as you play with lots of willing help!! Extra social functions such as movies, theatre, musical and outdoor activities are arranged throughout the year whenever interest is expressed. We are always open to receive new suggestions for outings and activities. |
