VIEW - Oakleigh Evening Club
Oakleigh Evening VIEW Club is a friendly social club consisting of a membership of 45 women of all ages. We meet on the 4th Monday of each month with the exception of December when we meet on the 2nd Monday. We do not have a meeting in January but usually have a get together. Our Dinner meetings are held at 7.00pm at the Clayton Bowls Club, Springs Road, Clayton. We have our meeting first then a two course dinner followed by a guest speaker. We enjoy varied outings such as luncheons, special visits to places of interest, theatre nights, plays etc. New members are warmly welcomed.
The Oakleigh Evening VIEW Club is part of the network of VIEW Clubs of Australia. VIEW was founded by The Smith Family in 1960 for the purpose of promoting the Voice, Interest and Education of Women. and has gone from strength to strength having over 25 000 members throughout Australia. The Club provides women with an opportunity to enjoy friendship and social events. VIEW provides avenues for members to be involved in initiatives that contribute to the mission of The Smith Family. Additional activities such as tours, theatre trips, coffee mornings may also be offered. Each club's program is unique.
