You Yangs Ride, Sunday, 12 June, 2005
Report & photos by Alan
Reclined, declined and bent recumbents and trikes plus some friendly wedgies set off from Little River Station west via You Yangs Rd to do an anticlockwise prostrated recumbent circumambulation of the Mystical You Yangs. Nice route and surface, pleasant day, pleasant views, very nice company, little traffic, moderate climb for a few km then mostly downhill. Smiled at hordes of technicolour roadies sychronously wedging at high speed. You Yangs magic kept us somehow nearly always in headwind making some gentle hills seem steep and conjured some illusions (see pics), or was it something in the lunch? Ended with Cappucino et all, musing at the door signed "Mens toilet and Bar" - what a choice!
