VISIT THE AZAPA VALLEY

The Azapa Valley is very rich in rock art. The north facing hill slopes are rich in geoglyphs; the south facing slopes have some fine petroglyph sites, such as Cerro Chuno. About 12 km from Arica is the Museo San Miguel de Azapa with a collection of rock art brought to the museum. A visit to the museum is highly recommended, as well as a visit to their website.
