WELCOME TO MY WEB SITE WHICH WILL BE UNDER CONSTRUCTION FOR THE NEXT YEAR OR SO.

GOAL

The first pages will offer the interested reader an introduction in which several aspects of (Andean) rock art will be discussed. After the introduction, the main part of the web site will discuss several Andean petroglyph sites, simultaneously comparing the iconography of many Andean rock art sites.

LINKS (under construction - this link does not work yet).

Since 1975 I have spent most of my spare time visiting rock art sites throughout the world. Since 1999 I focus on Andean rock art sites. The following web page offers a list of all my publications.

MY PERSONAL BIBLIOGRAPHY

Image
FIG. 0-1-1: BOULDER 016 AT ROSARIO -VALLE DE LLUTA - CHILE. This important site is under direct threat because parts of the cliff are quarried. Behind the boulder there is an artificial gap in the natural cliffs (on which many petroglyph panels are found) through which transport of quarried stone takes place (situation: 2008).
