The Brighton Historical Society collects, conserves and analyses material relevant to the history of the Brighton area.
Our collection of 19th and 20th century costumes is of statewide significance. We also have books, documents, journals, artworks, ephemera, photographs and maps.
Members of the community are able to access our collection for research purposes or a research service is available.
We regularly hold displays of our treasures and speakers are available to give talks on various subjects.
We produce a quarterly journal which is of interest far beyond the boundaries of Brighton.
Our society is located on the first floor of the Old Brighton Town Hall,
Cnr Wilson and Carpenter Sts, Brighton 3186.
Our rooms are open to the public each Thursday afternoon between 12.00pm and 5.00pm
