| OUTINGS and EVENTS - 2011
The start of 2011 heralded a Friendship Lunch at the Blue Gums Hotel in January. The hotel generously donated a bottle of wine for Club Raffle. There were 38 members present. A visit to the Virginia Nursery was enjoyed. A bus trip to Tea Tree Gully Council sites was an informative and pleasant way to spend a morning. Later in the year a visit to the Mortlock Library was informative and enjoyed by those who attended. An August Film morning at the Balmoral Theatre was great fun with a step into the past. Collections from the old demolished Regent theatres has created a nostalgic place from which to watch old films. Come September an inspection of St Patrick's school took place. Mid September a contingent of Tea Tree Gully members went to the VIEW National Convention in Melbourne. |
