Current issues of concern.

A sizeable business / employer has indicated their intention to relocate elsewhere, having already declared such a move will result in job losses for the town, rather than seek / negotiate a viable compromise solution benefiting the entire community.

Subdivision / development proposals struggle against local opposition whilst the objectors bemoan the lack/absence of local amenities, services, businesses and employment opportunities. These things can only exist where the population is sufficient to support them.
