Eagles Soar Over EagleWood Park
The paddock known as 100 Acre Wood has views for 150 kilometers at EagleWood Park. This property's high altitude and permanent creeks provide pasture and water for both stock and wildlife throughout the searing summer months of December to March. Calving commences early March of the owner bred pure Angus blood lines derived from Jumbuck Park and Merrigrange genetics. Two large lucerne paddocks provide protein supplement and a diet change for stock fed on clover filled Australian native grass pastures.

Wedge tailed eagles are protected at EagleWood Park
These stunning birds share their environment with beef cattle and native flora and fauna. Adults are spotted daily, mostly spiralling in thermals over their nest.
Bird lovers of all nationalities email their questions to EagleWood Park. So for Sara of Kuala Lumpur who asks Do eagles have toes? The answer is..yes! All birds of prey use their feet for killing, from the tiniest owl to the largest wedge tailed eagle. Sharp claws are not the reason eagle feet are called talons. Bats have sharp claws too, but they don't have talons. What makes talons different is that they are designed to carry things. An eagle foot is made up of four muscular toes, powerful enough to hang onto a fairly large rabbit or hare as the eagle carries it through the air.
