By creating a range of authentic projects and connecting students with a common goal we intend to link our schools, our students and our teachers as part of one big educational community.
We are integrating pedagogy discussions, curriculum development and resource sharing within meaningful tasks which have tangible outcomes. The power of incidental learning, the synergy of unstructured discussion and the creativity generated by working together on common projects should never be underestimated. One of our first projects was Feed for Feed day. See the link below for details. Another project is to connect all our students and teachers to the MC2 project and enable groups to form communities of interest - eg. Scaffolding numeracy group,Science of Schools groups, performing Arts group, Tallangatta LOTE Lovers, Tallangatta Technos, Marilyn's Quality Learning Community, and so on. From our curriculum planning and pedagogy days we are developing P - 12 projects which are creating a focus for trialling strategies and linking students across our sites. |

This research project also involves developing rich assessment tasks. We will build on our work with Linda Anania
Many student projects are emerging as a result of La Trobe P - 12 Student teacher fieldwork in our cluster
Our first Middle Years writers' camp was held in October 2004.
