CHADA Living in Squalor Work Group
Some client homes have issues around living in squalor which impact on the capacity of agencies to deliver support services. It is not about changing the clients living it is about making it safe for the client and for health and social workers to enter safely. Recognise that there are issues of duty of care – but that there is a balance – both from the consumer and the agency perspective and we need to also look at the alternatives.
