Each Snowy River Thinking activity or event will be recorded here chronologically. Most events will also have their own page documenting the full range of things that happened.
Term 3 2008 This term sees the review of documented changes at the regular monitoring of the L1 Rehabilitation Site at Bete Belong by Yr5-6 and Year7-8 students. The site was first visited by students in late 2006 and we have documented changes at this site every term since. July 30 Yr5-6 students at Newmerella Primary School reviewed changes at the Bete Belong monitoring site. August 6 Orbost Primary School Yr3-4O students played the Snowy River Sticks game and discovered how interconnected the environment is. Orbost Primary School Yr3-4V also students played the Snowy River Sticks game and examined how water and food were vital links in the environment. August 12 Yr2-3-4 Students at Orbost North Primary School explored the interconnectedness of the environment with the Snowy River Sticks activity. August 13 Yr3-4 Students at Newmerella Primary School explored the interconnectedness of their world with the Snowy River Sticks activity and discussed how rehabilitation worked. Yr2-3-4 Students at St Joseph's School also explored the interconnectedness of the environment with the Snowy River Sticks activity. August 29 Students of Orbost Secondary College [8c] examined changes at the river as documented by multiple site visits in the last 18 months. September 2 Students of Orbost Secondary College [7a] examined changes at the river as documented by multiple site visits in the last 18 months. September 3 St Joesph's School Yr2-3-4 students explored the roles of homes in the environment and made a map of the Snowy River region and the habitats it contains. Orbost Primary School Yr3-4O students explored the roles of homes in the environment and made a map of the Snowy River region and the habitats it contains. Orbost Primary School Yr3-4V students also explored the roles of homes in the environment and made a map of the Snowy River region and the habitats it contains. September 5 Students of Orbost Secondary College [7a] examined changes at the river as documented by multiple site visits in the last 18 months.
