Southern Metro RYAN
Regional Youth Affairs Networks are key regional networks for the Government. They bring together different stakeholders including business, community, philanthropy and all levels of government to work together to identify and raise regional issues for young people with government.
Ther Southern Metropolitan Regional Youth Affairs Network (SMRYAN) covers the area made up of Bayside, Cardinia, Casey, Frankston, Glen Eira, Greater Dandenong, Kingston, Mornington Peninsula, Port Phillip and Stonnington.
SMRYAN aims to:
Identify and establish advocacy statements through collaboration of Southern Metropolitan RYAN stakeholders;
Provide a pathway for stakeholders to voice local and regional issues to state government Interdepartmental Committees; and
Hold eight meetings and two forums per year.
The SMRYAN membership aims to reflect a broad cross-section of relevant stakeholders in the Southern Metropolitan Region.
