The first family tree of descendants of Felix and Margaret Smith was launched at a family reunion in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia in 1972. It was researched by Marjorie Sheahan (nee Smith), granddaughter of Felix and Margaret, and compiled by Max Molloy. Thanks to Max for giving permission for the original booklet to be reproduced here. All known descendants were included in a large circular tree, but not full christian names, dates, spouses or children who died as infants. As noted in page 2 of the booklet (see above) there were a few omissions and inaccuracies, and further information was invited. The 22 page booklet includes Marjorie's historical compilation about earlier generations called Down the Years. Our current research is a continuation of the substantial work done by Marjorie Sheahan. Perhaps you were present at the reunion, or remember the original circular tree? |
