Black Skivvy Film Society
Based in the Latrobe Valley of Gippsland, The Black Skivvy Film Society aim to screen a wide variety of Arthouse and Independent films across genres; provide opportunities for members and guests to discuss movies; Publish a regular newsletter for members and guests; Seek support and sponsorship for the development and retention of an annual short-film festival within the Gippsland community.
The Skivvies currently screen a movie on the first Wednesday of the month at Village Mid Valley Morwell. And we hold special events such as the upcoming Sunday Arvo event on the 18 March, at Monash Uni in Churchill, which will include short films and the feature 'Stand By Me'.
Films we are screening at Village in 2007 include: 'The Beat My Heart Skipped' on 7th Feb; 'The Return' 7th March; 'Sideways' 4th April; 'Brick' 2nd May; and 'Unfolding Forence Broadhurst' 6th June.
