SgCIA Casting the Net Wider Participants
SgCIA has successfully applied to the Victorian Government Skills.net scheme to train Southern Gippsland people particularly from the Inverloch, Toora, Mirboo North, Leongatha, Poowong, Cape Patterson, Korumburra and Yanakie areas in how to use the Internet.
SgCIA is a voluntary incorporated community organisation helping country Victorians (with Leongatha as their telephone centre) unravel the mysteries of the Internet.
SgCIA is a Skills.net project partner and CONNECTS the COMPUTERS OF community groups, their members and other interested people UP TO the internet as well as facilitating TRAINING in its use.
SgCIA has established Internet Corners [Public Access Points] in Foster, Inverloch, Leongatha and Meeniyan. SgCIA has assisted the South Gippsland Shire Council to establish the egaps Internet access and electronic service centre Corners in Korumburra, Mirboo North, Toora and Yanakie.
