School Holiday Sewing Workshops

The Multicultural Women's Sewing Group invites the community to come to free workshops during school holidays.

We prepare simple but useful projects suitable for adult beginners, and school aged kids, and do fun things with the little kids.

We are grateful to Moreland Council for giving us a grant to help with this program last year and the year before.

Please let people know these are on, especially new arrivals and other people who are unlikely to read our flyers or be on the internet.

Come to learn, or help, or both. You don’t need much English. They are all easy projects, suitable for beginners and children from about grade 5, and everything is provided. Little kids are welcome to come and play.

Can you come along to a session to HELP? For example, you might see yourself being with little children, helping beginner sewers or knitters, interpreting, supplying hospitality and friendship or setting and tidying up.
