The Memorial Arch.
This arch originally stood over the doorway of the Memorial Hall in Railway Street, when new club rooms were built in Kirkland Avenue it was moved there.

Euroa State School No 1706, World War 1 Honour Roll.
Like many of the other rolls in the area, this one was hand painted by Mr Parsons.

|
The World War 1 Honour Roll commemorating all soldiers from the district of Euroa.
A very poor photo of the Honour Rolls for Euroa and district soldiers that are in the R.S.L. club rooms, luckily the curtains are occasionally left open.
|
| There is no memorial as such in Euroa for the soldiers, instead, they prefered to spend any money on a meeting place. In 1920 Mr Edward Stribling donated the Euroa Public Hall to the R.S.L. of Euroa, it then became known as the Memorial Hall. The returned soldiers then set about renovating the hall.
In recent years the public has been invited to buy a brick and have their soldier's name engraved onto it. The bricks are in front of the new R.S.L. clubrooms. ************************************************** ~~~~~ EUROA STATE SCHOOL WORLD WAR 1 HONOUR ROLL ~~~~~ ALLISON C ANDERSON E BARRACLOUGH P BARRETT H BEATON B BEATON F BEATON W BELCHER H BELCHER W BELL A BELL A BELL C BELL L BELL S BEVIS W BILLINGS Herbert BLACKIE Norman * BRADFORD H BRADFORD S BRODIN C BRODIN J BROUGHTON S BRYANS T BUNTING Esmond BURTON Private A S - Victoria Cross * CARKEEK A CARRICK E CHAFFEY A CHARLTON F CHARLTON H CLARK G CLARK J CLIFTON W COE J COLLINS Alfred CORNISH F CORNISH J COWELL G COWELL R COX W DARGATZ L DARGATZ N DEBOOS William K DIGGLE L DRAPER Arthur DUDLEY R DUNLOP G DUNLOP W EMMETT R FORD L FOTHERGILL J GALL L GARDINER J GARDINER K GASCOYNE A GASCOYNE G GIBBS W GORDON H HANLEY E HANSTEIN C HARRISON Maurice * HARTLEY F HARTLEY J HARTLEY John HARTLEY W HARTSHORN A HARTSHORN J HARTSHORN R HASTIE T HELMS O HENRY R HEWITT A HINTON B HINTON F HINTON P HOBBS W HOGAN J ISON Adolp JOHNSTON A JOHNSTON Archie JOHNSTON Arthur JOHNSTON F JOHNSTON R JOHNSTON W KENNEDY H KERSLAKE Ernest * KILLEEN W LEONARD J LEONARD L LEONARD M LEONARD T LEWIS C LEWIS E LIDDELL R LIDDELL REG LIDDELL T LOWRY A MACLEOD G MAHER T MAHER W MAXFIELD Gordon MC * MCDONALD R MCFARLANE F MCGREGOR W MCKERNAN A MCKERNAN S MILLERD A MITCHELL R MORGAN A MORGAN Archie MORGAN H MORGAN T MORGAN W MURDOCK W NEELANDS William NICOLL N O’NEILL F OWEN D PARKER A PHILLIPS L PLEASENTS Ormond Military Cross POWER Joseph * RICHARDSON R RIGG W SAXON B SAXON J SAXON T SAXON W SEPHTON Herbert SEPHTON J SHEPPARD A SHEPPARD E SIMMONS F SIMMONS Frank STOREY L STUART J STUART W SUNDERMAN F THEWLIS A TRELOAR O TURNER Brian TURNER Esmond TWOMEY F TWOMEY T WALE K WALE Philip WALTERS R WATSON E WELLS A WELLS J WHITE V WIGNELL Clarence MM WIGNELL Everard WILTSHIRE J WILTSHIRE Roy YOUNG T ************************************************** ~~~~~ METHODIST CHURCH HONOUR ROLL ~~~~~ BRADFORD H J BROUGHTON S CARNE Philip S CARRICK E R J DUDLEY Ray HILL Charles HINTON F HINTON H ISON Adolp LOWRY Allen McGREGOR W T MILLARD Alex MORGAN Arthur NEELANDS S B THEWLIS Charles THEWLIS Eric TRELOAR O WALE Philip G * ************************************************** ~~~~~ EUROA BAND HONOUR ROLL ~~~~~ ANDERSON E ANDERSON L BAMFORD O BRADFORD A G BRODIE G BURTON Private A S - Victoria Cross * CARRICK Esmond * CLARKE G CORNISH P HAMILTON C ISON A G JOHNSTONE D KEILLERUP F KENNEDY W LEWIS J H MEIERS L MORGAN Archie MORGAN W J P MORLEY E J NEELANDS W S NEWTON O H SAXON B H SAXON J S SAXON T A SAXON W F WEATHERHEAD H WILSON G |
