Solid Rock Café’s stalwart entertainer, technical producer and Webmaster John Sargeant (Sargie) knows all about granite-hard work. He recently produced a demonstration CD, and it moves back to basics with welcome riposte. Pop aficionados will empathise to “Tears in Heaven”, bop to “Brown-Eyed Girl”, sing along to “Imagine”, and make wacky moves to “Octopus’s Garden”. There is a long-drawn artistic need here to emulate pop luminaries with unpretentious attitude.
