CATs Parent Strategy Working Group
Mission: To influence parents' ability to be actively involved in their children's successful transition through school and on to work and/or further education or training.

The goal of the Career and Transition Pilots (CATs) is to provide information, advice, guidance, and support to young people aged 13-19 years, and their families. The Parent Strategy Working Group is a sub-committee of the CATs Community Partnership Committee in East Gippsland, driven by committed parents in this region of Victoria.

The CATs East Gippsland Project has focused on work with 13 - 14 year old students, and has developed a range of career-related resources targeting this age group, which can be found on this site.

In the Shared Files section is a copy of the Learning Pathways Plan, which helps young people to plan their pathway through school and on to work, further education and/or training.

In the Group Files section, there are:

** comprehensive contact lists of institutions offering creative arts courses in Victoria.

** occupation booklets for a number of popular jobs as chosen by students

In the Links section are career-related websites that may be helpful when seeking support, or planning future careers

Has your child taken part in CATs? Answer the simple Poll about your view of the Learning Pathways Plan.
