The minimum specification for these machines is:

  • 80486 processor @ 66 Mhz
  • 16 Mb Ram
  • 400 Mb Hard Disk

    They use a Windows like Graphic Interface with standard accessories of a calculator, notepad, cards, etc. They also have:

    Abiword - a clone of Microsoft Word

    Opera - the up and coming Web Browser

    Gaim - an instant messenger agent

    Cal - Calendar, Appointment Manager and To-Do-List

    CBB - Cheque Book Balancer (Quicken clone)

    XACC - Double entry Bookkeeking Program


    General Public Licence DOS

    The minimum specification for these machines is:

  • 80286 Processor
  • 4 Mb Ram
  • 200 Mb Hard Disk

    At this time, we are still exploring the options and cannot list the available software yet. However, it will include a GUI, a Word Processor, a Spreadsheet, and - hopefully - Internet Access.




  • Don't Send that obsolete computer stuff to the Tip

    Bring it to our Computer Recycling Workshop and we will salvage it to make a computer for someone who doesn't have one.
