Tony Pearson tonypearson@pobox.com

I was born on the 10th July 1946 in Adelaide. At the time my father, an agromonist was stationed at Karoonda, South Australia. This is where I and my younger brother Jim (26th October 1947) spent our early years before the family moved to Mt. Gambier, South Australia. Our sister Janice (17 May 1952)joined the family while in Mt. Gambier. Our family moved to Hillcrest, an Adelaide suburb in 195? where I went to Hillcrest Primary School and later Scotch College.
I was never one for school and in 1961/2 attempted entry into the Army Officer College at Duntroon, having spent time in the army cadets at Scotch College. I was unsuccessful, but told to apply for the next intake but unable to wait applied to join the Royal Australian Navy as a junior recruit.
