Relative to the above enquiries, I wish to state that I have
questioned a few people regarding this child and the information
that has been given to me is as follows.

Age 7 years. Aboriginal Lubra Molly Nullyarri is the mother,
and it is alleged that Leo Muldoon is the father. The child
is named Nambyi. I once asked the child her name and she
stated that it was Mary Muldoon. I could not vouch for the
correctness of this.

The Director of Native Affairs

Dear Sir,

I have written to V C Carrington in regards to a little Halfcaste
girl, who has been reared by Mrs Hayes since she was an infant,
and he replied and said I should write to you.

The position is, she is between 6 and 7 years old and J Kennett
was instructed to take her to the 'Bungalow' and since I've
married Mr Hayes and come to live at the Station it is my wish
to keep her if I am allowed. I would take all responsibility
of her, unless she became unmanageable, when I would immediately
send her to the Bungalow. I could have her educated by correspondence,
and would not let her go near the Black Camp. We are very fond of
the little thing at present and she is always with us. Trusting
to hear from you at your earliest convenience.

Yours faithfully
Mrs G Hayes
