As some considerable while may elapse before it becomes
possible for the quadroon girl Ida to be removed from Henbury
Station, will you please, if you can, make arrangements for
her to be taken to Hermannsburg, preferably by her mother.
I shall be visiting Hermannsburg a number of times before
Christmas, and I shall have several opportunities of removing
her from Hermannsburg to the Halfcaste Institution.

14. 2.1939 From Strehlow, Alice Springs to Darwin
About removal of half-caste Aboriginal girl Ida from
Henbury Station to Hermannsburg. Ida is about 13 years old.
An observation by Constable McKinnon is as follows :-
'Did you notice how Hyde spoke about Ida? She's still a kid
but anyone would from his description that she was a fully
grown woman. I have an idea that she is in more danger from
Hyde himself than from anyone else. Probably O'Connor
(the elderly cook and store-managed at Henbury) is trying
to push her off from henbury so that Hyde cant get to her.
O'Connor is said to have done a lot to keep Hyde straight
since he (O'Connor) came to Henbury.'
Ida's parents are quadroon father Johnson Breadon and halfcaste
mother Mowie.

5. 2.1939 From Darwin to Alice Springs
Application for licence for H G Hyde, manager of Henbury Station,
to employ three aboriginals namely Alesia, her daughter Ivy and
