Polymorphic Light Eruption
This is a new group for people who have the skin disease Polymorphic Light Eruption (PLE), to have contact with each other and exchange information and support. New members are welcome.
People with Polymorphic Light Eruption experience itchy, painful skin rashes caused by the sun and must avoid exposure to sunlight depending on their individual level of tolerance.
Members can chat with each other on the group's web-site and share our experiences of living with PLE. We can also share information with each other for example, about how to obtain a diagnosis, tried treatments - successful and not-so-successful, or tips on how to prevent reactions to the sun by covering up with clothing or other methods. As the group is new we can also discuss ideas for building the group and deciding on aims and activities.
If you would like to join up please click on 'join the group' and send the group owner a brief email introducing yourself and describing your interest in joining the group.
