DMA Northern Polio Support
The DMA Northern Polio Support is an online community which aims to provide opportunities for people experiencing the late or secondary effects of polio to connect with eachother and share experiences, to provide support to members who seek assistance in managing their disabilities and to provide information to survivors of polio in the northern metropolitan area of Melbourne, their families, carers and the general community, in an online environment.
Whilst members are drawn initially from the Northern Region Post Polio Support Group membership of the incorporated group is not a requirement for membership of DMA Northern Polio Support or of the Disabled Motorists Association (DMA). DMA Northern Polio Support is part of an initiative of the Disabled Motorists Association under the My Connected Communities program, to link up people with disabilities around Victoria in their own online communities to exchange information on mobility and access issues.
