When the unit was revived in Setember of 2001. We had no traditions, and having joint meetings with Gabbarra, there realy wasn't the need to do it. But when we left, we started some.

INVESTIGURE - When a new member is invested into the unit, the unit leads them into the den, or other place they want and do the investiture in the dark with candles. The new member says the scout promise and law, and then is made to drinl, the "goop" for want of a better word!
Some things weve used in the goop have been:

Curry Powder

Vegemite

Canola Oil

Coffee

Butter and many other foods which in unison taste absolutely horrible!!! Remembering one occasion when Todd made it for Damiens investiture, the goop was Blue!

We are always trying to make the goop differently and each member apon investiture must drink it! Min tried to make a deal with us, saying if she doesn't have to drink it, she won't wear lip-gloss for a month. As if we could believe that, so she had to drink it!!!

Cherie was the lucky one, with Joe making her a fowl potion, but Lauren making her a sweet one. we almost gave her the sweet one, when we decided to mix them together! The result was...well...sickly!
