Hello, and welcome to the new Myall Venturer Unit website. Please enjoy your stay. On this site, you will find information on the Myall Venturer Unit, where we are and learn about Venturers in general.

The ages of Venturers are 14-18 years and Scouts can link until they are 14½ years old.

Venturers are a bit different to Scouts, because the Venturers are basically responsible for themselves to a certain degree. They are tested on their hiking skills before being let out on their own hiking etc (yes even green cords) because we need to know your abilities. This is because you will usually be hiking without leaders.

The Venturers are also responsible for their own programs, so if it is boring they should do something about it. They all have an opportunity to put forward activities and ideas that they would like to do.

In the program there must be some badge work included so that Venturers who wish to get their Queen Scout are given every opportunity to do so. This can include interesting visits to all sorts of places. You can still do the activities without doing the badge work.
