| 'HAND ME DOWN' - an indigenous flora art and sculpture project.
From July to September 2006 This innovative community art project was funded & supported by Primary Care Partnerships, VicHealth,YWCA Victoria, the City of Greater Bendigo, Bendigo Youth Arts Network. The project brought together 6 diverse community groups. Over an 8-week period of workshops the participants created an indigenous bush garden using textile & fibre art, wire sculpture, mosaic, painted ceramics, sand painting and stencil art. The work was exhibited in the Conservatory, Rosalind Park Bendigo. The project was co-ordinated by Bridget Robertson, Youth Arts Officer for the City of Greater Bendigo. Five local artists were commissioned to facilitate the workshops. Below are some images of the project. |
