| Handstitching and crocheting skills have been with me since childhood. The years spent photographing close-up Nature, particularly rocks, bark, grasses and patterns, have been a crucial training ground for my development as a textile artist. Patterns, textures, colour and diversity of materials play an important role in the creation of my art. My work is very tactile,colourful, bold and sometimes humorous. I've also been an active committee member of a local arts council for six years and have been involved in several large-scale community arts projects and events. |
