Ethel in the bush near Webb's mine at Torrington
This photo of Ethel was taken by a family friend. She looks about 10 years old. Ethel loved the bush and often wandered off to pick flowers as a child. On one occasion she was lost and a search party of men on horseback was sent out to find her which they did - asleep with a bunch of wildflowers in her hand.
