Queensland turns 150 in 2009

Queensland celebrates 150 years of independence from New South Wales on 10 December 2009.

This milestone provides a unique opportunity to celebrate Queensland throughout 2009.

Our current project is producing a book for the 150th anniversary of Queensland.

The book is about the early settlers of Beenleigh and Eagleby. If you have any ancestors who lived in this area in the time period 1865 - 1885, we would love to hear from you and include them in the book.

January 2009

The following people will make up the Book Committee:
Anne McIntyre
Helen Turner
Lesley Barnsley
