Mitchell Agility Dog Club Inc.
Interested in doing something different with your dog?
Dog Agility is a great sport and gives you the opportunity to work with your
dog as a team.
The Club has handlers of all ages; children 10 up to young grandparents
and some not so young who enjoy doing things with their dogs.
The dogs need some basic obedience training which is provided by the Club.
The Club has a 4 tiered structure of training.
Foundation class:
This is a 5 week course (which everyone must do) with a fee of $50 It teaches the basic skills required for participation in the sport of dog agility.
Beginners Class
Is where dogs and handlers learn to negotiate all the obstacles of an agility course,but at reduced height levels to help build confidence.
Social Agility
Is for members who want to continue having fun with dog agility but who do not want to compete
Agility 1
Is for members who want to improve their handling skills for competing at trials
The Club subscription is $60.00 a year to 30 September, plus $10.00 joining fee. This allows one family member to handle one or two dogs. A second handler handling their own dog(s) is $20.00 + $10.00 joining fee.There is a $3.00 a week training fee which allows for a drink and biscuit at the end of training.
The Club is affiliated with the Victorian Canine Association.
Mitchell Agility Dog Club meets in Wandong on Sunday afternoons.
