Text Box: Welcome to the 'Spring edition' of our valued newsletter. Since our last edition a few interesting events have occurred within our organisation.
Firstly, a capable and motivated lady by the name of 'Di Parker' has joined our team as the 'HACC' Officer. Her role will be to establish contact and service older ethnic members of the community. Join me in warmly welcoming her to 'BRECC' and offering her support during her stay with us.
In July the Executive Committee together with three members of the Bendigo Police visited the Shepparton Ethnic Communities Council to gain an insight and to learn from their efficiently run organisation. We thank them for their warm hospitality .
It is with much regret that I Text Box: wish to inform you that Nicole Sweeney the project officer for the Regional Skilled Migration Program has vacated the post to take up another position. We wish her well in her new career. We hope an equally capable person will fill that position in the near future.
Our constitution review is in its final stages.  To make our operations more efficient, we have formed three sub-committees : a) Finance and Funding  b) Training and Education and c) Marketing and Publicity. An executive member will co-ordinate each of these committees so there is feedback to the Executive. Each of the three committees will meet regularly to establish and implement appropriate programs, events, submissions and ensure the BRECC machinery is working smoothly and effectively".
