German visitors to Bendigo Organised by the Migrant Resource Center St Albans, a group of 40 senior Germans explored the sights of Bendigo on the 2"a of June, and were entertained by the Euro Fest Choir, Bendigo Inc. with a medley of German songs in the Bendigo Pottery. Many of the visitors joined in the singing, when they recognised those long forgotten tunes they had not sung since coming to Australia, and emotional tears were shed, too. Dr. John Pacher, V Vice President of B.R.E.C.C. welcomed the visitors in perfect Germant, and expressed the wish for more such contacts in the future. We thank the owner of the Pottery, Mrs. Sally Thompson for her welcome. |
