Text Box: On behalf of the committee and myself , I send each one of you greetings and wishes for a rewarding and an exciting year. 
The new committee was installed at our Annual General Meeting  December 6th 2004. 
I wish to thank the outgoing president-Mr. Chandalala Mambwe for his commitment and input over the last two years.
 The new committee of management consists of a very committed and enthusiastic group and they intend to keep "BRECC" surging forward. It is going to be an exciting year for us all.
 Some of the projects in progress for this year are:
 A) BRECC is involved with the Regional Skilled Migration Program under the auspices of the 'City of 
Text Box: Greater Bendigo  (COGB) and BRECC will in particular be actively involved in the Settlement Program of new ethnic employees and their families to our region.
 B) The Department of Human Services (DHS)  has kindly provided funds to employ a ' HACC' (Home and Community Care) worker whose role will be to provide support to the elderly ethnic residents in our region. The worker will be located at our office under the auspices of the COGB - Aged and Disability Services.
 C) A sub-committee has been formed to peruse and submit applications for funding to support our work to enhance the welfare of our ethnic residents. We have recently submitted an application to ACFE  (Adult Continuing and  Text Box: President’s Report March 2005
