What follows is the story of a pioneering family.
People who travelled from distant places, to a land they had only heard of in letters from friends or relatives or occasional news paper reports. Voyages lasting several months with no sanitation and cramped conditions. On arrival things were not much better, vast distances, poor transport and an unreliable climate They took up the challenge put before them, the hard life of the Farmer, Tradesman, Labourer, Doctor and probably the those who did it hardest, the women. The following web pages are dedicated to those families who took the chance and travelled to a new country.
