L2P
L2P aims to provide access to driving practice for those learner drivers who may have considerable difficulty in gaining access unless a community based program is available.
L2P is a community based volunteer program designed to provide access to DRIVING practice on public roads for learner drivers under the supervision of a fully licensed driver.
L2P is designed to operate under the auspices of local government authorities in each area of the state through a funding agreement between the local government authority and VicRoads. The operation of the program may be undertaken by the local government authority itself or through agreed arrangements with specialist service provider agencies operating within the local government area.
Under the agreement VicRoads provides funding, specialist expertise, contact networks and program guidelines. Local government provides an administrative structure, insurance coverage and, if the council conducts the project itself, project operation.
