1- KWSV is an independent non- profitable community organization with social and cultural activities. It has no political or religious affiliations. 2- This Association is established for the benefit of the Kurdish women in Victoria regardless of their country of birth. 3- To bring together and serve all Kurdish women in Victoria regardless of their political and religious believes. 4- To assist the resettlement and integration of Kurdish women refugees and migrants in Australia and provide help to Kurdish women in the refugee camps whenever is necessary. 5- To promote and assist all activities supporting understanding and preservation of the Kurdish language, history, culture and heritage. 6- To provide information in Kurdish language to the Kurdish women about social and welfare rights and entitlements, as well as other relevant aspects of life in Australia. 7- To establish friendly relations with women in the wider Australian community and other ethnic organizations and communities in the Australian multicultural society. Welcome to SBS Radio's Kurdish Language Program.
The Kurdish Language Program has been a part of SBS Radio since 1985. We offer extensive coverage of news relating to Kurds, as well as international and national news, followed by a variety of segments, including current affairs, cultural, educational and other issues of interest to our listeners.
Our stringers present reports from Kurdistan and Europe. The program is often enriched by Kurdish music of different times and places. We conduct interviews with prominent Kurdish politicians, intellectuals and artists on issues related to all parts of Kurdistan and Kurdish culture everywhere without neglecting matters related to settlement, education and community affairs in Australia.
Our program reaches Sydney and Melbourne and is on air one hour per week from 10.00 - 11.00 p.m. every Saturday. The time is limited but we endeavour to present a rich and colourful program every week. Now you can listen to our program any time you like right from the link on this website.

Structure of the KRG
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) exercises executive power according to the Kurdistan Region’s laws as enacted by the democratically elected Kurdistan National Assembly (KNA).
The current government, led by Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani, assumed office on 7 May 2006.
The government coalition consists of several political parties. The coalition reflects the diversity of the Region’s people, who are Chaldeans, Assyrians, Turkmen, Yazidis, Kurds and others living together in harmony and tolerance.
The parties in the coalition government are the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Kurdistan Toilers Party, Kurdistan Socialist Democratic Party, Kurdistan Islamic Union, Kurdistan Communist Party, the Islamic Group and the Turkman Brotherhood Party. Among the cabinet members are a Chaldean, an Assyrian, a Yezidi, a Faili (Shia Kurd) and an independent Turkoman.
